tsk! tsk! tsk! lintik na Ahmad yan, hehe.
Whew! Naman... After one month sigurado kasinlaki na rin ng tiyan ni boss ang abs ni Ahmad.
yup. very true.
Sly, hanggang buntong hininga na lang!RJ, that's what they all like. Feeling bossing!.
ardyey & Ms.Jo, sometimes life is unfair. Hindi ba? Although we have the knowledge and ability, its their call and they can do what ever they like.
Hehehe :D Madalas nga mangyari yan
It is indeed unfair but as a people, they deserve credit for looking out for one of their own. They're using us (and other foreign workers) to make themselves better. That's the reality we all have to deal with. It happens in the US too. In such a situation what I do is I look at the bright side and do things to make myself indispensable in the organization. It can be difficult at times but this is the path in life I chose and I have to deal with it in the best way I know how. Take care.
Several times I'd been by-passed for job promotions, out of country trainings and other opportunities which I have been deprived of despite of my work dedication.Life is filled with hardships and disappointments, blessings and joy. Life isn’t fair and we should be thankful that it isn’t. If I were given only what I deserve, I would be lacking in everything except criticism. However, because I am blessed by God, I am given abundantly above what I can think or ask. For those who put their trust in Him, they inherit God’s goodness that exceeds anything we can lose in this life.
Awts, supervisor siya tapos in a month iba na. Uhuh, cruel cruel talaga.
CM, mukhang universal practice nga ito, ano?Panaderos, you're right pards. This happens in other countries, not only in M.E. Sadly here, especially in government, most just want the position but not the responsibility attached to it.
Pope, sometimes we console ourselves by thinking that we're contract workers. Although we deserve a promotion several times over, its the fact that we're foreigner, that impedes it.sheng, it's the other way around. Assistant nya but after one month, supervisor nya na. : )
hehe... looks like a battlefield promotion to me :) good that Jun still has his job ;)
A reality: We're here to teach them so they can manage on their own. (Ang sabi ko nga: kung matalino lang ang boss, hindi na nya ako kakailanganin).Another reality: We may not get the fruits of our labour now, but other Filipinos will one day reap it for us.Lesson: Let's teach them well.
bw, uso dito yan. Half-baked supervisors and managers!nebz, I'm with you when it comes to that. But sometimes its difficult to teach people who are accustomed to "spoon feeding" and knows more about their holy book than their work.
Imagine that, the student become the master.
Kaya no choice.
Sabi nga, "It is not what you know but who you know or who you are related to." Sadly, fact of life yata yan. I guess when you train or teach somebody at work, don't teach him everything you know about the job LOL.
This is so true, its the same here in Dubai, once you tell your ideas, dagdagan lng ng manager mo ng konting bola sa boss nyo kanya na ang idea...so better be wise and tell your ideas to your boss directly.
bertN, no "locals" wants my job or eager to learn what I do. They feel intimidated just by looking at all the books they have to read.YellowBells, be wary of "idea grabbers". Kahit saan marami sila. They don't have scrupples to steal ideas just to be ahead.
This is so painfully true! Arabs have a lot to thank foreign workers for kaya lang kawawa naman yung na-demote ang posisyon.
NomadicPinoy, ganyan talaga. "Business" nila, sila ang masusunod. Workers lang tayo.
